The FIREHUNTER+ is a conventional Fire Detection and Extinguishant Release Control Panel, compatible with a wide variety of detectors. The panel includes fully-monitored inputs and outputs, and will monitor a pressure switch to give discharge confirmation. The panel may be fitted with a Manual Release Callpoint, which initiates the Release Sequence, and has a Hold Off button, to temporarily delay the release, as well as keyswitches to Lock Off the release, or prevent Automatic Operation. The panel has fully-monitored outputs for Fire Alarm Sounders, Extinguishant Release Imminent Sounders, and Solenoid Drive, as well as repeat outputs for many of the main functions. The Solenoid may be replaced with the frequently-used METRON, and if so, a link selection ensures that the METRON output de-energises after a preset time, to prevent any possible damage to the Control Panel.
The panel is a '2-zone + 1' unit, with two Detection Zones, and one Extinguishing Zone. The Detection circuits monitor the protected areas in the normal manner. Should both Zones be in alarm at the same time, the Extinguishant Release countdown starts, with the DIGITAL DISPLAY showing the remaining time. At the same time, the Extinguishant Release Imminent sounders switch on, to evacuate the area. The release time is selectable between a range of 0 to 120 seconds in 8 second increments. Once the delay time has elapsed, the Solenoid Output switches on, and the extinguishant is released. A optional Pressure switch can monitor the extinguishant release, and feed back into the panel for confirmation. For future expansion or larger system requirements, SUPERNET Controllers can be connected together using the SUPERNET Peer-to-Peer Network. Any of the family of FIREQUEST Fire Alarm Control Panels can also be connected on to the same network. Up to 32 SUPERNET Controllers can be connected to the Network, each up to 2 km apart, providing an interface for up to 32,000 signals. The SUPERNET Network can be further expanded to include PC Graphics Displays and Mimic panels. Installation and Commissioning Installing and commissioning the FIREHUNTER+ is made easy, with a variety of selectable settings, and the many repeat outputs ensures that the panel can fit many diverse applications. The panel is fitted with a number of links and indicators to assist the Installation/Service Engineer. Fault Monitoring includes Earth Fault, and the fault LED's can indicate whether the fault is an open- or short-circuit, to speed up fault-finding. Built into the software is an Input Isolate facility, which can help prevent accidental discharges |
