PSS Company Profile

Brief History

Who are we?

Peripheral Support Services Limited (PSS) is a design and manufacturing company in the Fire and Security market. The Company was founded in 1988, and has been designing and manufacturing a wide range of Fire and Security products, with particular emphasis on 'high-tech' products.

PSS has been particularly successful with our FireQuest range of Analogue Addressable Fire panels, and with the Supernet Network, which is exceptionally powerful, yet remains simple to use.

PSS was founded by engineers with over 40 years expertise in the Fire and Security industry, which has given PSS a basis of sound engineering principles, innovative designs, and an awareness of the actual needs of the companies who use our products and systems.

We are also very adept at transforming a client's 'wish-list' into reality, whether it be a simple interface card or a complete family of products to form a coherent system. Our ongoing Product Development helps ensure that we are constantly looking to improve our existing systems, and to introduce new products as the market demands them.

What can we offer?

PSS can offer you an unrivalled service in the field of advanced Fire and related systems, including the ability to design products and systems to demanding specifications in short timescales, and acceptable budgets.
Our in-house design team will liaise to ensure that the design meets the final requirements, and will work closely with you to translate this into a final product or system.
We are happy to offer customised variants of our standard product range; from simple changes such as the addition of a company logo, to complete makeovers of the panel appearance and operation. We can offer this service because we design all our systems using the latest design tools, making it possible to customise products more easiliy than ever before.
However, if our standard products meet your requirements (and in most instances this is the case), we are happy to supply them in large or small volumes, and we offer ongoing technical support and training to ensure that the products are installed and used to their maximum potential.
We also have the ability to offer a design service for hardware and software products to meet the specific needs of a project, even as 'one-off' items, and this can include such things as simple boxed interfaces, protocol converters, special panels, mimics and switch panels or boxes. Our expertise in small-volume production runs can help make large projects run more smoothly.
In addition, we are happy to offer an installation service for our products and systems, to ensure that they are installed to the highest standards, and to ensure that you have only one company to liaise with.
